"Maiden" Females
This is a female that is physically able to be bred but maybe too young.  We do not start breeding our females until they are two years old. This is about the time their hormones really start kicking in and they are usually mature enough.  Until it is time to breed, these young ladies are great for our show string.  This is the time we really get to enjoy our llamas!  Not only do we show them we also take them out to meet people.  It is fun to see the faces of folks as we walk a llama downtown.  Many have never seen a llama before and are amazed at how friendly they are and how soft their fiber is.  We love to do parades, visit senior living facilities, take them for walks in the park....the list is endless.
